This section aspires to improve productivity by understanding the capabilities of the Microsoft Power Platform, automating basic business processes with Power Automate, performing basic data analysis with Power BI, acting more effectively by creating simple Power Apps experiences, and creating powerful chatbots by using Power Virtual Agents. It also covers Dataverse, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and solution architecture fundamentals.

Applicants perform discovery, capture requirements, engage subject matter experts and stakeholders, translate requirements, and configure Microsoft Power Platform solutions and apps. They create application enhancements, custom user experiences, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation, and custom visualizations.

Applicants implement the design provided by and in collaboration with a solution architect and the standards, branding, and artifacts established by user experience designers. They design integrations to provide seamless integration of third-party applications and services.

Applicants actively collaborate with quality assurance team members to ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements. They identify, generate, and deliver artifacts for packaging and deployment to DevOps engineers, and provide operations and maintenance training to Microsoft Power Platform administrators.

Microsoft Power Platform functional consultants should be familiar with using Microsoft Power Platform components to extend and customize Microsoft apps and services such as Teams, Dynamics 365, Excel, and Word.

The applicants envision and create solutions to simplify and automate tasks and processes for themselves and their team. They understand the data that they are working with, the issues that they need to resolve, and the required processes and app experiences.

Applicants design, develop, secure, and troubleshoot Power Platform solutions. Applicants implement components of a solution, including application enhancements, custom user experience, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation, and custom visualizations.

Applicants must have strong applied knowledge of Power Platform services, including an in-depth understanding of capabilities, boundaries, and constraints. Applicants should have a basic understanding of DevOps practices for Power Platform.

Applicants also learn security roles and permissions, environment management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, governance best practices, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). They learn to manage, share, and deploy solutions across development, test, and production environments.
